This is How the Story Ends

This is how the story ends
We will rise to live again
Everything will be made new
Every knee will bow to You

This is how the story ends
Joy we cannot comprehend
Sin and death and tears have passed
When we are finally Home at last

Today we wait
That Day we'll see
Today we weep
That Day we'll sing

This is how the story ends
The King of Glory will descend
In the twinkling of an eye
The trump will sound, the dead will rise

This is how the story ends
God will judge the souls of men
Some to death and some to life
Leave your sins and flee to Christ

Let us live this day in the light of That Day (3x)

This is how the story ends
We will rise to live again
Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead. (Isaiah 26:19) / And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (Daniel 12:2)

Everything will be made new And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. (Revelation 21:5-6)

Every knee will bow to You
Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)

This is how the story ends
Joy we cannot comprehend
Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, (1 Peter 1:8)

Sin
Nothing impure will ever enter it [the New Jerusalem], nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life (Revelation 21:27)

and death The last enemy to be destroyed is death (1 Corinthians 15:26)

and tears have passed He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

When we are finally Home at last
For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (2 Corinthians 5:1) / These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. (Hebrews 11:13-14)

Today we wait
looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus (Titus 2:13)

That Day we'll see
When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. (Colossians 3:4)

Today we weep For His anger is only a moment; in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)

That Day we'll sing
And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps, and they were singing a new song before the throne (Revelation 14:2-3)

This is how the story ends
The King of Glory will descend
In the twinkling of an eye
The trump will sound, the dead will rise
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. (1 Thessalonians 4:16) / Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. (1 Corinthians 15:51-53)

This is how the story ends
God will judge the souls of men

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord God. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin. (Ezekiel 18:30) / And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. (Revelation 20:12)

Some to death and some to life
and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment. (John 5:29) / but they will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. (1 Peter 4:5)

Leave your sins and flee to Christ
“The Lord is a mighty tower where his people can run for safety.” (Proverbs 18:10) / So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. (2 Timothy 2:22) / I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.  So don’t be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27) / Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

BRIDGE
Let us live this day in the light of That Day (3x)
but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10)

ENDING
This is how the story ends...
He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken. (Isaiah 25:8)

You Surrendered All

You surrendered all
You surrendered all
On the cross, my blessed Savior
You surrendered all

  1. All, my Savior, You surrendered
For the lost Your life You gave
Crowned with thorns, by all forsaken
Pouring out Your blood to save

  2. All, my Savior, You surrendered
Humbly at Your feet I bow
Fill me with Your love and power
Live and reign within me now

  3. Not the good of my surrender
Not the merit of my hands
But the greatness of Your mercy
In Your grace alone I stand

  4. On that glad eternal morning
When at last I will be free
    Then in sinless full surrender
Still my song shall ever be

ENDING CHORUS
You surrendered all (2x)
On the cross, my blessed Savior
Let this be my song forever…
You surrendered all (2x)

All, my Savior, You surrendered
For the lost Your life You gave
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)

Crowned with thorns
and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” (Matthew 27:29)

by all forsaken Then everyone deserted Him and fled (Mark 14:50) / And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46)

Pouring out Your blood to save
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, (Ephesians 1:7) / And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) / Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. (1 Peter 1:18-19) / Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.(Acts 20:28) / For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Matthew 26:28) / Whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. (Romans 3:25)

You surrendered all (2x)
On the cross, my blessed Savior
You surrendered all
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. (Philippians 2:5-8)

All, my Savior, You surrendered
Humbly at Your feet I bow
Then the King will desire your beauty. Because He is your Lord, bow down to Him. (Psalm 45:11) / When He had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. (Revelation 5:8)

Fill me with Your love and power
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7)

In Your wounds, Lord, hide me now
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

Not the good of my surrender
Not the merit of my hands
But the greatness of Your mercy
But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, (Titus 3:4-6)

In Your grace alone I stand
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:1-2)

On that glad eternal morning
When at last I will be free
Then in sinless full surrender
Still my song shall ever be
“A highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it…But only the redeemed will walk there” (Isaiah 35:8-9) / So the ransomed of the Lord will return. And come with joyful shouting to Zion, And everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away. (Isaiah 51:11)

ENDING CHORUS
You surrendered all (2x)
On the cross, my blessed Savior
Let this be my song forever…
You surrendered all (2x)
Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying,“Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:5-7) / “You alone are the Lord. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them. And the heavenly host bows down before You. (Nehemiah 9:6)

Worthy of More (King of all Kings)

Worthy of more than I could give
Worthy of more than the life I live
Worthy of more than any song that I could sing
Worthy of more than I could know
Worthy of more than this world below
Jesus, O take my heart, my everything

King of all kings and the
Lord of all lords
True Light from True Light eternal
You gave Your flesh for the life of the world
We sing “Glory to God!” with the angels

Blessing and honor
And glory and power
Forever and ever
Merciful Jesus
From death You have freed us
Forever and ever

Worthy of more than any song that I could sing

Worthy of more than I could give For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. (For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.) Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope. (Hebrews 3:3-6) / To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, (Ephesians 3:8) / What shall I return to the Lord for all his goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. (Psalm 116:12-14) / Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) / For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. (1 Chronicles 16:25, Psalm 96:4 - identical verses)

Worthy of more than the life I live "Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it." (Matthew 10:39)

Worthy of more than any song that I could sing (Above every song that has ever been, a greater song beyond all imagination is yet to come…) Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Revelation 19: 6-10)

Worthy of more than I could know
Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised, And His greatness is unsearchable. (Psalm 145:3)

Worthy of more than this world below “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)

Jesus, O take my heart, my everything I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. (Philippians 3:8)

King of all kings and the
Lord of all lords
They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.” (Revelation 17:14) / On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. (Revelation 19:16)

True Light from True Light eternal
The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. (John 1:9-10)

You gave Your flesh for the life of the world This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” (John 6:50-51)

We sing “Glory to God!” with the angels And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased! (Luke 2:13-14) / And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it (Revelation 21:23-24)

Blessing and honor
And glory and power
Forever and ever
saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” (Revelation 5:12) / saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” (Revelation 7:12)

Merciful Jesus keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. (Jude 1:21) / …you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful. (James 5:11)

From death You have freed us
Forever and ever
For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17 ) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) / For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6:40) / I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (John 10:28)
