I Have Been Baptized Into Christ

CHORUS
I have been baptized into Christ
Into His death and raised to life
Jesus is all and He is mine
I have been baptized into Christ

  1. Before the worlds, He loved me first
Jesus redeemed me from the curse
In agony, He bled and died
I have been baptized into Christ

  2. I have been crucified with Christ
Buried with Him and made alive
He lives in me, now sin must die
I have been baptized into Christ

  3. O praise the Father, Spirit, Son
For Christ the Lord has overcome
And while He lives, I cannot die
I have been baptized into Christ

  4. So come what may, I will not fear
In life and death, the Lord is near
Now I am bound for Paradise
I have been baptized into Christ

Before the worlds, He loved me first Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. (Ephesians 1:3-6) / We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

Jesus redeemed me from the curse Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (Galatians 3:13)

In agony, He bled and died In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. (Hebrews 5:7) / …looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. (Hebrews 12:2-3)

I have been baptized into Christ Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? (Romans 6:3)

I have been crucified with Christ For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. (Galatians 2:19-21)

Buried with Him and made alive having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. (Colossians 2:12)

He lives in me, now sin must die “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”—Colossians 1:27 / Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as [d]instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. (Romans 6: 12-14)

I have been baptized into Christ Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? (Romans 6:3)

I have been baptized into Christ
Into His death and raised to life
Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:3-4)

Jesus is all and He is mine you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is call, and in all. (Colossians 3:9-11)

I have been baptized into Christ For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:13)

O praise the Father, Spirit, Son Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)

For Christ the Lord has overcome I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

And while He lives, I cannot die We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. (Romans 6:9) / Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.” (John 11:25-27)

I have been baptized into Christ For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. (Galatians 3:27)

So come what may, I will not fear Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)

In life and death, the Lord is near Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

Now I am bound for Paradise Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23:6)

I have been baptized into Christ one Lord, one faith, one baptism (Ephesians 4:5)

In the Name of God Our Father

Not because of our goodness
Not for works we have done
Not because of our righteousness
Not for merit in us

But because of Your mercy
Because of Your love
Because of Your kindness, Lord, we come

In the name of God our Father
In the name of Christ the Son
In the name of the Holy Spirit
Holy, Holy, Holy One

In the name of God our Father
In the name of Christ the Son
In the name of the Holy Spirit
Only by Your grace we come

Lord, we look to Your passion
Lord, we look to the Cross
For while we were yet sinners
You bled and died for us

Because of Your mercy
Because of Your love
Because of Your kindness, Lord, we come

We will trust in the Name
Of the LORD forever
We will trust in the Name
Of the LORD forevermore

Not because of our goodness He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5)

Not for works we have done ...God, who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:8-10)  /  ...though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God's purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls (Romans 9:11)

Not because of our righteousness Do not say in your heart...‘It is because of my righteousness that the Lord has brought me in to possess this land,’...Not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart are you going in to possess their land...Know, therefore, that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness (Deuteronomy 9:4-6)

Not for merit in us For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

But because of Your mercy He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5)  /  O my God, incline your ear and hear...For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy. (Daniel 9:18)

Because of Your love For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)  /  Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (Revelation 1:5-6)

Because of Your kindness, Lord, we come But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:4-7)

In the name of God our Father
In the name of Christ the Son
In the name of the Holy Spirit
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)  /  The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (2 Corinthians 13:14)

Holy, Holy, Holy One “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” (Isaiah 6:3)  /  “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” (Revelation 4:8)

In the name of God our Father
In the name of Christ the Son
In the name of the Holy Spirit
...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom (Ephesians 1:17)  /  And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” (Galatians 4:6)

Only by Your grace we come But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:10)  /  For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.  (Ephesians 2:8-9)  /  Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Lord, we look to Your passion (Though "passion" has several modern definitions, historically - and in this song - it refers to the suffering Jesus endured for us). For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God (1 Peter 3:18)  /  For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. (Hebrews 2:18)  /  For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. (1 Peter 2:21)

Lord, we look to the Cross Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. (Hebrews 12:1-3)

For while we were yet sinners
You bled and died for us
God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

We will trust in the Name
Of the LORD forever
We will trust in the Name
Of the LORD forevermore
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. (Psalm 20:7)

I Am Not Ashamed of the Gospel

The message of the cross is foolishness
To those who are perishing
The message of the cross is foolishness
To those who are perishing

But to us who are being saved
It is the power of God

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ
It is the power of God
Saving all who believe
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ
It is the power of God
The very power of God

The foolishness of God is wiser than
The wisdom of any man
The foolishness of God is wiser than
The wisdom of any man

And to us who are being saved
It is the power of God

There is one Way
There is one Truth
There is one Life

The message of the cross is foolishness
To those who are perishing
But to us who are being saved
It is the power of God
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.” Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.  (1 Corinthians 1:18-24)

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ
It is the power of God
Saving all who believe
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ
It is the power of God
The very power of God
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17)

The foolishness of God is wiser than
The wisdom of any man
but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:24-31)

There is one Way
There is one Truth
There is one Life
Jesus Christ
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)
